I have worked in the Health Insurance Industry my entire career of over 30 years. My experience working for major insurance carriers in many different capacities, provides me with a deep understanding of the entire industry, and the ability to help you with the most complex questions and issues that may arise throughout the year.

In 2022 I became an Independent Medicare Broker and opened Sherwood Insurance Solutions, LLC, serving as a trusted advisor to my clients, educating them on Original Medicare and providing consultative services on carrier plans. As an independent broker, my focus is on you, ensuring that you choose the best insurance plan for your individual health needs year over year. I am appointed with most national carriers and offer Medicare Advantage Plans, Supplement (Medigap) Plans, Part D, and Special Needs Plans for Dual Eligibles (DSNP), those with both Medicare & Medicaid. I also assist with applications for LIS (Low Income Subsidy/Part D Extra Help) and State Medicaid. I can be frequently found partnering with food pantries and service organizations to educate and assist in any capacity. I am passionate about serving my Medicare beneficiaries and can meet you in person (if local), on the phone, or on zoom. I also host Medicare 101 workshops and seminars throughout the year, both in person on online.

*A note on charges: You may not be aware that brokers do not charge for services as we are paid by insurance carriers. This is a very good reason to seek out a reputable non-biased broker who represents many different carriers and has your best interest at heart.

Joanne is originally from Boston/NH area, and lives in Melissa, TX, just north of Dallas. She and her husband Dan (and cats Sammy and Bella) moved in 2020 to be closer to family and their first grandson. She actively works in both markets, Texas and NH, and frequently travels between both in support of her clients. She is also licensed in FL and typically obtains out of state licenses as needed for her clients who move out of state.

Education:
B.S. Business/Marketing, SNHU 2007. Producers License NPN 7232184, TX, NH, FL, with CEU requirements every 24 months. Required annual training and testing on AHIP, Medicare Compliance, HIPPA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse and all contracted insurance carrier benefits and plans.
